The St. Rose Buddy Program pairs students in different grades together for mass, special holiday events, academic activities, and more. Younger buddies are partnered with older buddies who can act as positive role models and provide mentorship.
Buddies sit together at school mass and participate in faith-building activities. For holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, buddies collaborate on arts and crafts projects. Academically, older buddies may read to younger buddies or help with homework. There are also opportunities for buddies to interact during recess or electives.
Our goal is to encourage meaningful connections between students across grade levels. The buddy program provides a supportive peer relationship and helps build a tighter-knit school community. It teaches our students the values of empathy, responsibility, and service.
