About Mrs. Shelly Lawrence
Shelly Lawrence is a believer in education as a tool to develop and practice skills, provide social situations to help create and maintain relationships, grow life long learners, and give opportunities to students for exploring and discovering their interests, talents and abilities. Over the course of her tenure as an educator, Shelly has worked in public schools, private schools, early childhood centers, and in a homeschool cooperative learning school.
Shelly enjoys gardening and working outside, reading, coloring, puzzles, and kayaking. Shelly and her husband Jeff were married in November 2022 and blended their families to now include Shelly’s three sons, Jeff’s three daughters and four grandchildren. Shelly and Jeff live in Longview and enjoy traveling, live music, and spending time with family and friends.
Why did you choose St. Rose?
Being a part of a faith based teaching community gives me an opportunity to engage with my students and colleagues with the mutual understanding that God guides our lives, influences our choices, and has a plan for our future. I appreciate the culture that is created in a smaller school setting and the relationships that are developed.
