About Mrs. Hensley:
Tracy has been married for 23 years and has four children. During her time as a stay at home parent, Tracy spent a lot of time volunteering at youth events, groups and sports. She later became a driver’s Ed instructor and then a youth leader for Emmanuel Lutheran Church (2010-2016). It was while working as a youth leader that Tracy decided to go back to school and pursue a career in education. It was also while working in youth ministry that Tracy decided middle school was where she wanted to teach. While going to school for her bachelors and her masters degree, Tracy worked at the Kelso School district in various capacities; HR, payroll, bus driving, and as a long-term substitute. Three of her four children have graduated from Kelso High School, with her fourth set to graduate in 2026. Tracy became a “Lolli” in August 2019 and has two son’s serving in the United States Army.
Tracy began teaching at St. Rose as the middle school Social Studies and Art teacher during the 2022/23 school year.
Why did you choose St. Rose?
I chose St. Rose because a friend and co-worker’s son attended St. Rose and she passed on the position opening. She loved St. Rose and the community here so much that it convinced me to apply. After interviewing, I felt an instant connection to St. Rose. I’ve always seen my path to education as a calling, and what I love about St. Rose is that I can practice daily my love for God, my passion for working with children, and my conviction that education is how we make positive change in the world.
