About Karlie Ablan:

Karlie Ablan grew up in Vancouver, Washington and taught in the Vancouver School District for 15 years. She taught kindergarten, first grade and was a reading specialist. She moved up to Longview in 2013.  She now resides in Kelso with her husband TJ and two boys Trey (age 8) and Andy (age 5), who both attend St. Rose. Her family enjoys sports, the outdoors and visiting family in upstate New York and Bend, Oregon. 

Karlie was a PE teacher and reading specialist at Saint Rose last year. This coming school year, she will be full-time reading specialist for grades kindergarten through 8th grade. 

Why did you choose St. Rose?  

After my oldest son spent a year at St. Rose, I knew it was somewhere I wanted to work. The staff is supportive, knowledgeable and kind. There are high behavior and academic expectations, along with a strong faith-filled education. The feeling of the school is warm and inviting. I feel right at home.
