About Mrs. Govednik:

Erin Govednik started out working with wildlife in the animal care department of a number of zoos and wildlife centers. She soon realized her real passion was teaching people about the animals and their habitats and decided to begin a career in environmental education. For a number of years Erin taught K-12 field science and managed the education department of Naturebridge in the Olympic National Park (Lake Crescent-Port Angeles). She then worked for the State Department of Health as a Community Outreach and Environmental Education Specialist for Environmental Health. She took a break in her career after her daughter was born. She has been excited to return to the field of education at St. Rose as the Kindergarten Aide. Erin, and her husband Joseph, are so happy to have their eight-year-old daughter, Nora, attend St. Rose School.

Why did you choose St. Rose?

I chose St. Rose for its Catholic foundation, strong supportive community and quality education. Our daughter has attended this school since Preschool-3 and it has been a warm and welcoming place from the start. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.
