SHARE HOURS
Parents/guardians are required to volunteer share hours as indicated below. A minimum of five share hours must be through time and talent shared with the school. The balance may be either through time and talent, or by contribution at the rate of $20 per hour. Share hours not completed by June 11th will be billed at $20 per hour.
Each St. Rose family = 30 share hours/year
Single parent family = 15 share hours/year
Pre-school family = 10 share hours/year
WHAT COUNTS FOR SHARE HOUR CREDIT?
One share hour of service =
- Attendance at Parents' Club meeting (one hour per parent in attendance)
- Authorized committee members and helpers
- Box tops for Education coordinator
- Chairpersons of school's major fundraisers
- Elected or appointed officers
- Field trip drivers and helpers
- Fundraising workers
- Kitchen clean-up (after school functions)
- Library aides
- Maintenance of school grounds
- Miscellaneous "other" help and special projects requested by pastor, principal, or share program chairperson
- Office help
- Organize Campbell's soup labels
- Parent helpers (classroom)
- Parents' Club Executive Board
- Parents' Club helpers (set up and clean up)
- School Commission
- Registration helpers
- RIF coordinator and helpers
- Morning set up for school grounds-cones
- Telephoning (office, fundraisers, etc.)
- Tutoring
- Volunteer childcare provided for someone helping at a school function
TALENTS
- Share service hours on building and grounds maintenance
- Architectural help
- Computer Assistance
- Financial or legal advice
- Office machine maintenance and repair
- Aquarium maintenance
- Painting, plumbing, landscaping, carpet laying, etc.
TREASURES
A $20 retail value will equal value will equal one share hour:
- Computer educational software
- Art
- Office supplies
- Materials for classrooms or extended care
- Baked goods
- School supplies
- Paint
- Library books
