Mrs. O'Leary, Librarian |
Our school library is open to parents as well as students at St. Rose. If you want to check out books, please see Mrs. O'Leary at the times listed below, and she will issue you a patron number. Children in grades K-1 can check out one book a week. All the grades can check out the same number of books as their grade. For instance, third grade can check out three. Exceptions are always made for reports. The library is open during school days and Mrs. O'Leary is in the library from 1PM through 3PM. Mrs. O'Leary also manages after school homework time in the library until 3:45. |

The school does not charge overdue fines for late materials. Please have your child return materials as soon as possible so that they are available for other students to enjoy. Check out is a two week period. When you receive an overdue notice, your child can either return the book or renew it for an additional two weeks. The amount listed for the book on the overdue slip is not a fine.
If a book has been overdue for over a month, you will be sent a sign slip with a charge for the cost of the book plus a handling charge for the book's processing cost. If at that time you find the book, please return it. There will be no charge. It is sometimes hard to replace a certain book. |

The library has a wide variety of materials which can be used for schoolwork and reading enjoyment.
Helpers-Yes, the library needs helpers! There are many jobs that need to be done from shelving books to reading stories. Regretfully, most of the jobs cannot be done at home. Perhaps you may want to sign up for one 1/2 hour twice a month. By the end of the year, your share hours would be complete. The same is possible for those who wish to work from 8 to 9 AM. |
