Gas prices are rising.  But don't forget that you can support St. Rose School by using Safeway SCRIP to fill up your tank.   All SCRIP vendors are listed at glscrip.com.  SCRIP is sold in the art room every school day morning until 8:45 a.m. and after all Masses.  All proceeds benefit St. Rose School. 

Homework Club now open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 to 3:30 p.m. in the school library. 

REGISTRATION now open for the 2008-09 school year.  If you are a returning family, please register ASAP.  Some classes are 90 percent full.  Interested families are invited to visit St. Rose to pick up an information packet and tour the school.    

AUCTION/EVENT COORDINATOR position open.  Responsibilites include coordinating the school auction and other fundraising events.  Please contact Principal Kay Purcell, 577-6760, if you are interested.

THURSDAY, 5/15:  Student Council elections assembly, 2:15 p.m.

FRIDAY, 5/16:  Volunteer appreciation night, St. Rose Parish Center.

SUNDAY, 5/18:  "How to Raise Money-Smart Kids," 1 p.m., St. Rose Parish Center.  

MONDAY, 5/19:  Spirit Dress Day.     

TUESDAY, 5/20:  Spring Music Program, 7 p.m., featuring songs from Broadway musicals.

WEDNESDAY, 5/21:  Early Release Day. 

MONDAY, 5/26:  Memorial Day.  No School.

SATURDAY, 5/31:  End-of-the-School-Year barn dance, 6:30 to 9 p.m.  DJ Mobil Mic will spin tunes.  All cowboys and cowgirls welcome! 

FRIDAY, 6/13:  Noon dismissal.  Last day of school.

WEATHER-RELATED SCHOOL CLOSURES

St. Rose School follows the Longview School District weather closure decisions. If Longview Schools call a secondary delay and elementary on time, St. Rose School will start 2 hours late for K-8th grades.  If Longview Schools close, we will be closed.
